Nearly got my three full races

A successful first race No damage!

Well I got very close to my wish of three full races, First race bit of drama with a shunt at Mikey in 68P (you got in my way mikey LOL) but a nice quick race for me but with the car pushing hard into the corners I decided to drop the right rear tyre an inch of stagger which helped later on. Second race got a love tap half way through and spun onto the infield off the stadium corner at the start of the straight then the rest of the race was a doddle I love seeing that white flag for some reason means put the hammer down for the last lap at least. Third race which was the all in (even though we'd raced with the duper stocks in the second race) was going well but kept getting these love taps from 31p ( has been doing it all of my season it seems like )so when he decided that I wasn't a threat and passed me on the outside I turned right HARD and put boot down, He ended up clothes lined on the fence and it took a while for them to get him down, took them another 10 mins to fix the fence.
Anyone bring some clothes pegs??
Got the green finally and found the right front wheel was history so after being missed barely by three super missles, scraped by one I made a run for the infield but super 69p caught me as I went off and hammered me hard into the infield.....Thanks for buttoning off mate!! NOT! lol Anyway pulled up next to Gary Davis in 31p and he gave me a grin and a thumb so was a good end to another adrenilin pumping night, drove back to the trailer with a seized front rim and changed it before putting the beast onto the trailer for the trip home.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Last night I put the axle back in and today I put the wheels I want to race with first and the guards back on.....started the beast up or Du Hast as I like to call it and drove into my biggest paddock for a spin up!!! Sounded and felt good and is moving freely again, turns out that I had a front rim rubbing and grabbing on a brake calliper which was stopping it from turning last time I raced so with a broken axle, that prob and a wet track no wonder it sucked!!!

Looking forward to running it this weekend and the plan for now until its adjusted to suit conditions is to make three races ...lets hope the panthers don't play rolling blocks and practice on us again LOL Also will be good if the guys have there cars out as well...Mikey Gaskin Tank 68p, Rick Waihi 47p, and Mike Dunn in 61p I understand Rick had his car out last weekend for the first time this season...on ya Rick!

Am going to finally take the transponder off to charge, Hook the battery up to the charger and call it a night,

Also got all my tyres back from firestone in Rangatiki line today ..very pleased thanks to john Taylor and the guys at Firestone direct I reccomend you take all your tyres in there and they'll help you out any way they can...

The stockcar should be out this weekend!!

Hoping this is the scene this saturday

Then this!

News is while Bj doing my other axle I had another mate at work, machine another set for me and I welded it today so it should be in tomorrow night. He machined the main part of the axle with a shaft which inserted into the far end keeping it straight as! Then we pinned it and welded it. I then left it to cool naturally and slowly to avoid the cluster state the other axle I pulled out was in....apart from the weld being full of slag it had cracked from the welding itself and cooling badly I expect, I was lucky to get three meetings out of it! Also got the end of the spare I did have which had a wicked bent hub face re-faced so it'll be a good spare now.

Taking a load of wheels into firestone at lunchtime tomorrow as well(including my trailer spare) so saturday is looking good for at least a couple of races before I break or get something broken by someone else....

Mikeys Tank, thinking of going same colour Ford blue as his chassis eventually, save me a spot next to you mate preferably next to the light post

The GSX is all good but not mine.....

The new auction of the GSX 1100A lovely bike in very good nickThe last auction finished at 2 and bit thou but reserve was $3500 which after all the work its had is probably a good buy for what you get 1st up....you don't have to worry about maintinence for a least a few months depending on your use.

As for this and my XL I'd want over $2500 with no negoitation on the base price so dreamers need not apply....and I'll list it when I want to sell it or ring the two or three people who've asked me to ring them or list it. A very popular model! It won't be given away.
